Founder
of Flashline Transport
In 1998, Indy Dasanayaka arrived in Australia to study Business. With more than books in hand, he carried a vision. From the very beginning, his goal was clear: to build a business that would support his family, strengthen the Australian economy, and serve the community with honesty and integrity.
His first role at the iconic Flemington Markets introduced him to the world of logistics. What began as a simple job with Fresh Produce Group and later Perfection Fresh Australia quickly grew into a passion. Indy discovered that logistics wasn’t just about trucks and timetables it was about trust, people, and ensuring that life’s essentials reached families every day.
Drawing on his family’s entrepreneurial roots in Sri Lanka, Indy dreamed of more than personal success. He envisioned creating opportunities for others, empowering communities, and building a legacy his children could be proud of. Through hard work and determination, he mastered the complexities of fresh produce distribution, always guided by values of fairness, reliability, and family.
From the start, Indy’s mission extended beyond business.
In Year 2010 he set out to build a company that gave back supporting new migrants, creating jobs, and offering pathways to those seeking a fresh start, just as he once did.
Today, that vision continues to drive everything he does.
Between 2010 and 2014, the business moved from vision to reality. These were the foundation years where every challenge became a lesson and every small success laid the groundwork for future growth. What began as a modest operation gained momentum through persistence, trust, and a focus on reliability.
During this period, the company built its reputation step by step, strengthening relationships with partners, expanding capabilities, and establishing the values that still guide it today. It was a time of steady progress, laying the solid base on which long-term growth could thrive.

Co-Founder
of Flashline Transport
The true turning point came in 2014, when Anushka Dasanayaka formally joined the venture not only as CFO, but as Co-Founder. With a strong academic foundation in Accounting and Finance (RMIT) and HR Management (Monash), together with professional experience at a major bank, she brought the perfect blend of financial discipline, strategic foresight, and people-focused leadership.
Anushka’s entry redefined Flash Line’s future. What began as a modest operation gained structure, vision, and momentum evolving into a formidable logistics company positioned for national expansion.
One of her earliest milestones was securing compliance certifications, establishing Flash Line’s reputation for safety and excellence. This became the backbone of operations, enabling the business to confidently handle perishable goods and win the trust of supermarkets, food distributors, aged-care providers, and healthcare facilities.
But her greatest impact lay in building financial resilience. Anushka implemented robust systems for cash flow, compliance, and forecasting transforming a fledgling business into a scalable, future-ready enterprise. With her oversight, Flash Line could invest wisely, expand sustainably, and navigate industry challenges with confidence.
Her leadership didn’t just stabilize the business it accelerated it. By combining financial clarity, operational compliance, and a strong brand vision, Anushka laid the foundation for Flash Line Transport’s national growth and long-term success.
As Indy often says,
“The business had a heartbeat, but with Anushka, we together gave it a structure, a face, and a future.”
Over the next decade, Flash Line Transport invested over $20 million into operations, expanding the fleet to more than 70 trucks and relocating from its original Parramatta base to larger headquarters in Camellia, NSW.
Today, Flash Line operates nationwide with major branches in Melbourne, Brisbane, and the NSW Central West (Kelso), serving clients ranging from major supermarket chains, Quick Service Restaurant (QSRs), Aged Care Providers, Kmart, Dulux, to flower and dangerous goods logistics.
During the 2019 South Coast bushfires, when roads were blocked and lives at stake, Flash Line rerouted drivers through Canberra and Bega in a 24-hour mission to deliver food to aged care homes in Nowra. Indy and Anushka monitored the trucks all night, proving once again: commitment isn’t just a word it’s action
Flash Line isn’t just about transport it’s about integrity, reliability, and doing things the right way. The company’s growth is driven by a deep respect for its people and partners.
Indy personally tested every vehicle brand before selecting Hino valued for their Toyota-backed reliability and built enduring partnerships with TRS and City Hino.
